"Back Us, Back Our Nurses" on Strike Rally

Join the caregivers at Backus Hospital who are going on STRIKE over unfair labor practices of facility management and executives with Hartford HealthCare, the chain that owns our community hospital. This rally on the first day of picketing will bring together health professionals, patients, families and advocates to “back us, back our nurses.”

 

Guest speakers include national AFT President Randi Weingarten, Connecticut AFL-CIO President Sal Luciano, AFT Connecticut President Jan Hochadel and U.S. Rep. Joe Courtney.
